Home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail says authorities will use all legal means, including anti-money laundering provisions, to bring suspects home from abroad.

Saifuddin said investigations are being carried out for criminal offences as well as money laundering under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (Amla).
“If they are overseas and there is a need to record their statements to complete investigations, we will use all available processes to bring them back,” Bernama reported him as saying after inspecting border control operations at the Bukit Berapit immigration, customs, quarantine and security complex in Pengkalan Hulu today.
Saifuddin said he has been regularly briefed by police on the progress of the case and has full confidence in their capabilities.
“The developments are progressing well. I have no reason to doubt the competence of the police,” he said.
On March 18, Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail reportedly said that businessman Victor Chin, who is allegedly involved in corporate manipulation linked to a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission probe, is overseas. - FMT
