PN information chief Annuar Musa says a meeting involving PAS, Gerakan, and the Malaysian Indian People’s Party has been arranged.

Annuar said a meeting involving PAS, Gerakan, and the Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) had been arranged and would convene “as soon as possible”.
“Discussions are expected to take place this week,” he said in a Facebook post.
Annuar, a PAS central committee member, said his party remained committed to multiracial political cooperation and mature and constructive politics.
“The party appreciates the positive stance shown by Gerakan and MIPP within the PN framework. Both parties have significant roles to play in the country,” he said.
He also said PAS would ensure that any subsequent decisions concerning PN are made in accordance with the coalition’s constitution, not based on the sense of superiority of any individual or party.
“Deliberation and consensus will remain the guiding principles,” he said.
Bersatu information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz yesterday criticised PN chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar of PAS for failing to effectively manage the coalition’s internal disputes.
MIPP president P Punithan meanwhile said his party would decide its political future on Sunday amid overtures from PAS, Pakatan Harapan (PH), and Barisan Nasional following the latest turmoil in the opposition coalition.
Gerakan reaffirmed its commitment to PN, saying it would continue to play a constructive role in strengthening the coalition.
Separately, a source close to the matter said that Punithan was invited to meet PAS leaders on Thursday to discuss MIPP’s future.
The source also said that MIPP was contacted by PH for a discussion. - FMT
