The digital minister says every child deserves the opportunity to develop their potential.

In a Facebook post, he said that the SJKT is not merely an educational institution, but also plays a vital role in fostering learning, culture, and identity among students.
“Witnessing young athletes perform at the 43rd SJK(T) Effingham Estate annual sports championship today serves as a warm reminder that efforts to empower schools and guide future generations must continue.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to develop their potential and play a part in building a prosperous Malaysia for all,” he said.
He added that from 2023 to 2026, a total of RM237.48 million has been allocated for maintenance work, upgrades, and the construction of new facilities for Tamil schools nationwide.
“This clearly reflects the government’s commitment to the overall well-being of the Indian community in this country, as well as ensuring our children get the best throughout their schooling period,” he said.
Gobind added that this allocation proves the government’s commitment to continue supporting the development of Tamil schools despite the country still facing economic challenges.
He added that efforts to strengthen educational facilities must be sustained to create a conducive learning environment for the younger generation.
“I will continue to serve the people to the best of my ability and do whatever it takes to continue supporting the community,” he said. - FMT
