KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 — Prasarana Malaysia Berhad will operate public transport services around the clock from the night of August 30 into August 31 for this year’s National Day celebrations, Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil reportedly said today.
Berita Harian reported Fahmi as saying the move was intended to make it easier for the public to travel to and from Putrajaya for the celebrations.
“Prasarana has committed to providing 24-hour public transport services in conjunction with National Day 2026,” he was quoted as saying.
“We hope this will not only help more people get to Putrajaya, but also make it easier for them to return home after the programme ends.”
Fahmi also said that this year’s Malaysia Day celebration on September 16 would be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Kuching, Sarawak. - malaymail
