The following is an interview with the popular Egyptian thinker Islam el Behery that appeared in the Middle East Forum.
Islam Behery argues that the famous Al Azhar University which is the world capital of Sunni religious thinking is responsible for taking Egyp backwards.
Islam Behery also says that the terrorism and jihadi violence must be blamed on the FOUR schools of Sunni jurisprudence or the FOUR MAZHABS ie the Shafie, Hanafi, Maliki and Hanbali mazhabs.
