Younger brother detained over death of sibling in Bukit Mertajam.
PETALING JAYA: An argument over money between two brothers ended in the death of the older sibling in Kampung Sama Gagah, Permatang Pauh, near Bukit Mertajam.
The incident occurred when the 48-year-old younger brother went to the family home and asked his brother, Lim Poh Hau, 59, for some money, reported the New Straits Times.
Poh Hau refused and the two got into a scuffle which led to the death of the victim about 7.30am today.
Poh Hau was found unconscious outside the house by a neighbour, who immediately alerted police. Medical personnel called to the scene confirmed the victim had died.
Perai Tengah district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the younger brother had been detained for murder.
Cause of death has not been determined. Poh Hau’s body has been sent for a post-mortem. -FMT
