Mobile phone shop worker assaulted, customer detained

KAJANG: A 32-year-old man has been detained for assaulting a worker at a mobile phone shop.

It is learnt that the suspect went to the shop located at Plaza Metro Kajang at about 7pm on Friday and demanded his money back from the victim’s colleague.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the suspect created a ruckus and threatened to hit the victim’s colleague if his money was not returned.

“A scuffle ensued and the victim tried to break it up.

.“However, witnesses claimed that the suspect then hit the victim with a motorcycle helmet,” he said when contacted.

The incident was witnessed by the mall’s patrons, who recorded the incident with their mobile phones, he added.

“We already arrested the suspect and seized the helmet used to assault the victim.

“The man has been remanded until Tuesday,” he said.-Star
