KOTA KINABALU: A Sabahan is suing former chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman for RM400mil over alleged investments through Yayasan Sabah when he was chairman of the foundation.
Musa has been ordered to appear at the Kota Kinabalu High Court on July 18 for the case.
Kota Belud resident Zulkifli Kassim claimed that the former chief minister had pocketed more than US$100mil over projects under Yayasan Sabah, including from timber concessions.
Zulkifli is alleging that the then chief minister had money from these projects transferred into his bank accounts instead of Yayasan Sabah over a period of several years since 2006.
He filed the suit to claim for the funds to be returned to the people of Sabah.
Musa’s lawyer Tengku Fuad Ahmad called the accusations frivolous, but said he will be attending the court case on behalf of his client.
Meanwhile, a notice to Musa to attend the court hearing was published in The Star newspaper on July 5.- Star
