NON-MALAY PRIME MINISTER FEARS START TO FRY UP AGAIN: WHAT IF A CHINESE, INDIAN, IBAN OR KADAZAN GET TO HEAD THE PARTY THAT HOLDS THE MOST SEATS IN PARLIAMENT?

Under our electoral system, the party with the most number of seats in the parliament will form the federal government, and the leader of the party gets to be prime minister.
I can hear you say: “we all know that lah!”
But just for fun, let’s say I am president of a political party aiming to govern the country, and I, as party president, want to be PM.
First, my party needs to win the general elections convincingly. In other words, win big.
But wait. Before that, I will need to outline my party’s struggle, its policies and strategies.
My party is multiracial, meaning it’s open to all races, all ethnic groups as long as you were born in this country, and as long as you are a Malaysian, you are eligible to be a party member with equal rights.
Equal rights would mean you are entitled to contest party election for any posts you want, including the presidency.
So, if the party gets to rule the country, you can be prime minister, whatever your race might be. Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Punjabi, Kadazan, Orang Asli. All ethnic communities!
Clearly, meritocracy is the main thrust of my party. As long as you’re qualified you stand a chance to make good, not only in the party but in the government as well. Equality for all!
As for policies, my party and my government — should we win the election — will do away with quota system. No such system based on ethnicity will be allowed, be it for university intake, job recruitment, etc
No special privileges for a specific race. Help, including financial aid and what not, will be given to all people who deserve, regardless of race and religion
And there will be no discrimination against minority groups. Not even against LGBT.
While my government might not agree with LGBT, there will be no discrimination. They will be accorded the same rights as everybody else as citizens of this country. After all they are all citizens.
And my party will make public our policies, what we believe in and what we want to do.
We don’t talk differently with different groups or races. No double talks just to please certain section of the citizenry, or win votes in elections.
In short, we tell the truth even though the truth can hurt some people who will not be happy with our equality in all policies
And we will never play the racial or religious card to win votes.
With such a stance and our liberal policy, my party will win the elections and govern the country. Right?
Wrong!
My party will lose. The majority will reject my party and everything it stands for.
Our political enemies will coax the majority to hate us. And sadly the majority of the majority will allow themselves to be coaxed.
