ANWAR IS PAKATAN’S CHOICE FOR 8TH PM – AFTER MAHATHIR WHO HAS HIS OWN AGENDA DECLINED TO CHAIR PAKATAN’S TOP COUNCIL MEETING FOLLOWING HIS APPOINTMENT AS ‘INTERIM PM’ WHICH HAS NO LIMIT ON TENURE & GIVES HIM ALMOST UNLIMITED POWERS: ALL EYES NOW ON WHEN AGONG – WHO HAS YET TO MEET 2 MORE MPs – WILL NAME AS 8TH PM

The coalition said this is after Mahathir, who is now serving as the interim prime minister, refused to chair the Harapan presidential council meeting on Tuesday.
That meeting was held to restore the previous Harapan-led government led by Mahathir, which has since collapsed.
“Following the attempt to form a government through the backdoor, Mahathir resigned as prime minister.
“The decision by Bersatu to quit Harapan was followed by Mahathir’s decision to quit as the Bersatu chairperson.
“Following this, the presidential council invited Mahathir to chair its meeting to revive the Harapan government.
“But Tun (Mahathir) did not agree to attend the meeting which was held on Feb 25,” PKR president Anwar Ibrahim said, reading from a statement, at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya this evening. – MKINI

Only Agong can reveal MPs’ choice, says Anwar

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has refused to comment if Pakatan Harapan has the numbers to form a new government, saying only Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who interviewed each MP, can make the announcement.
“Everyone has to respect the wisdom and decision of the king. We also have to adhere to the constitution and follow the law.
“The issue of the numbers is at the discretion of the Agong,” he said at PKR headquarters today.
Anwar said it is improper and impolite to discuss it as only the Agong is privy to it.
The Agong accepted his resignation but also appointed him interim prime minister until a new government is in place.
This was followed by the king interviewing all MPs individually to ascertain who they support as the next prime minister.
The king has yet to interview two more MPs. – THE MALAYSIAN INSIGHT
