ALOR SETAR: A bilal suffered burns after a masked man threw kerosene before torching him at a mosque in Taman Rakyat here early Wednesday (Feb 19) morning.
Amri Budin was about to start his duty before the morning prayer when a masked man barged inside the mosque, threw kerosene on the victim and set him alight.
The 67-year-old victim suffered burns to his face, hands and the left side of his body.
When contacted, Kota Setar OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Rozi Jidin confirmed the incident.
