PETALING JAYA: The two days of meetings between the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Members of Parliament have not determined which candidate has a clear majority to form a government, says the interim Prime Minister.
“Since there is no distinct majority, there will be a special session of Parliament on March 2 to determine who commands the majority support, ” Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in Putrajaya on Thursday (Feb 27).
“If this fails, then there will have to be snap elections,” he said after unveiling an economic stimulus package to tackle the Covid-19 crisis.
