Enough is enough, dissolve Parliament, urges Najib

Former prime minister Najib Razak says the nation is going nowhere in this political crisis.
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Najib Razak has urged for Parliament to be dissolved, saying Malaysians have become the victims of certain leaders’ tussle for power.
“Enough! We are going nowhere with this political crisis, besides heading towards the nation’s doom and destruction.
“Dissolve Parliament!” he said in a Facebook post today.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong had met all MPs of the Dewan Rakyat over the past two days, with lawmakers given two choices — name a candidate for prime minister or dissolve Parliament.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) confirmed yesterday that Anwar Ibrahim is the coalition’s candidate for prime minister. The PKR president said they had been working to defend the mandate given to PH by the people.
MPs from Barisan Nasional and its ally, PAS, however, have called for fresh elections to elect a new government, insisting that the mandate must be returned to the people.
Yesterday, Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he felt the formation of a government that is free of partisan politics could be the solution to the ongoing crisis caused by the collapse of the PH coalition this week. - FMT
