It’s worse than dark ages under PH, Sarawak PAS man tells Guan Eng

Lim Guan Eng recently warned that a Malay-only government which includes PAS would herald the dark ages in Malaysia.
KUCHING: A Sarawak PAS leader has slammed DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng for saying that Malaysia could be thrust into the dark ages if PAS and Umno were brought into the government.
“We don’t need to wait for PAS (to be in the federal government) to live in the dark ages,” said Sarawak PAS information chief Zharudin Narudin.
“The rakyat are already suffering under the Pakatan Harapan government, particularly DAP, It’s now worse than having to live in the dark ages,” he told FMT.
Lim had earlier commented on speculation that PAS and Umno could join hands with PPBM to form a new coalition called “Pakatan Nasional”.
He said such a Malay-only government “will usher in a dark age for Malaysia like in Kelantan”, whose leaders he said despise modern technology except “luxury Mercedes Benz cars”.
Zharudin said PH failed to fulfill their election promise to return 20% of the oil royalty and 50% of tax revenue collected from Sarawak to the state.

“Recently, DAP urged the state government to abolish the state sales tax on imported tyres and tyres attached to new vehicles being imported into Sarawak but it failed to resolve the increase in prices of imported red onions,” he said.
Zharudin said the PH government should compare its list of election promises with those made by PAS in Kelantan.
“Then we’ll be able to see which party did not fulfill its promises,” he said.
He said DAP had never been able to merge with any political party in the country due to its “contradicting agenda, resulting in dissatisfaction among the rakyat”.
He added that DAP also failed to live by its “Malaysia for Malaysians” spirit.

“Instead, it seems to be turning into an extreme Chinese party, as shown by its leaders objections to the implementation of Jawi khat in school.” he said. - FMT
