Johor Sultan arrives to meet state reps

JOHOR BARU: Johor's Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has arrived at the Sultan Ibrahim Building to meet with all state assemblymen.
Sultan Ibrahim, who personally drove, arrived at the building at 2.44pm on Wednesday (Feb 26).
He also gave a nod to the media personnel that had been waiting at the building's gate since 1.30pm.
State assemblymen were seen entering the building from between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Among the first to arrive were state executive councillor, Dzulkefly Ahmad followed by Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, Dr S. Ramakrishnan, Liow Cai Tung, Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, Mohd Solihan Badri, and Aminolhuda Hassan.
Also present were Benut assemblyman Datuk Hasni Mohammad and Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim who arrived at 3.25pm.
At present, there is no official statement issued by the Johor palace or the state government.
For Johor, it has been widely speculated that the southern state will see a hung state assembly if there is an emergence of a new political bloc or coalition.
At present, Pakatan only has 28 assemblymen, after 11 assemblymen from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia quit the coalition.
However, Pakatan will need at least one more assemblymen from Bersatu to form the state government.
Meanwhile, there are 14 Umno assemblymen, two from MIC and one from PAS. - Star
