PETALING JAYA: A 53-year-old Malaysian woman has become the country’s 23rd Covid-19 case.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today said the woman was treated at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur after returning from Japan on Feb 23 with a fever.
“She tested positive today after a Covid-19 test was done,” he said.
Hisham also said two Covid-19 patients have made a full recovery and have since been discharged from hospital.
In total, 22 people have made successful recoveries from Covid-19 in Malaysia.
He said 23 of the 1,569 people, whose samples were collected for testing, have tested positive for Covid-19.
A total of 1,523 people tested negative while the lab test results for the remaining 23 are still pending.
Monitoring of temperatures of visitors continues to be undertaken at all entry points to the country. -FMT
