SERI KEMBANGAN: A group of media personnel is camping outside of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's private residence at the Mines Resort here following talk of a formation of a new government coalition.
Dr Mahathir, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman, had earlier attended a closed-door meeting with the Bersatu top leadership on Sunday (Feb 23) but left without talking to the media.

Media personnel were not allowed to enter the residential area and were told by security to wait outside.
Various political parties are holding separate meetings amid speculation on the possibility of a new government coalition.
On Friday (Feb 21), Dr Mahathir said the Pakatan presidential council had given him the full discretion when to step down as the Prime Minister.
Dr Mahathir had repeatedly said he would step down after Malaysia hosted the Apec Summit in November.
Prior to the 14th General Election, Pakatan had agreed that Dr Mahathir would be prime minister for two years before passing the baton to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. - Star
