KUALA LUMPUR: It was all smiles for PKR MPs when they left Istana Negara after having their interviews with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Wednesday (Feb 26).
Leaving in the Hop On Hop Off bus they came in with, a few MPs told the media "good news, good news" from the open top of the bus.
Wangsa Maju MP Datin Paduka Tan Yee Kew, who walked to greet the media and PKR supporters waiting outside the palace, said that the party was solidly behind PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"We give full support to Anwar as the Eighth Prime Minister. As far as PKR MPs are concerned, we are solidly behind him.
"I believe Amanah and DAP are also with us," Tan told the media.
Amanah MPs also came out of their interviews with the King in high spirits.
Pokok Sena MP Datuk Mahfuz Omar told the media that it will be "good news for Malaysia".
Lumut MP Datuk Dr Hatta Ramli said that Pakatan Harapan will be back.
"Pakatan is back with the people's mandate," he said. - Star
