Will Azmin join Gerakan? Party to hold meeting at 4pm 

10.45am: Gerakan president Dominic Lau confirms the party will hold a central committee meeting at its headquarters at 4pm.

He tells Malaysiakini that one of the agenda is to discuss the possibility of Azmin Ali (photo) and his faction joining Gerakan.

"This is one of the agenda. But we will discuss mainly on the political situation, be it on our position, strategy and our response. We will talk about our role when there is a change of government," he says.

Lau, however, declines to comment when asked whether Azmin and his team had applied to join Gerakan or will the group attend the meeting later today. - Mkini
