Malacca Bersatu is still led by Redzuan Yusof, contrary to speculation of there being a new acting chief, said state party information chief Mohd Raduan Ja’apar.
“Lately there has been speculation purposely played up by some irresponsible Bersatu members that Redzuan (above) is no longer the state Bersatu chief.
“In response to such sentiments, Redzuan is still holding onto the legitimate position of Malacca Bersatu chief and we deny all talks about there being a new acting chief.
“(Redzuan) will remain as such until any change is announced by the party president who is also the acting Bersatu chairperson,” Raduan said in a statement today.
He also advised all Malacca Bersatu members to stop making such speculation which could give rise to negative perception towards their component partners and cause political instability in the state.
Raduan then reminded all state Bersatu members to stand firm in their support of their president and acting chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the prime minister.
Redzuan, meanwhile, had also been given the responsibility of being the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions), Raduan added. - Mkini
