PETALING JAYA: The number of flood victims still seeking shelter at relief centres in Sarawak dropped to 33 this morning from 38 yesterday.

The civil defence force said two relief centres were still in operation in the Subis district in Miri.

“Five victims from two families are at the centre at the Sepupok Niah community hall, while another 28 from eight families are housed at the Bekenu community hall,” Bernama quoted it as saying.

In Sabah, the number of flood victims at relief centres in three districts remained at 122, involving 32 families, this morning.

The centre at Dewan Kebudayaan in Penampang was closed yesterday after all the 20 evacuees, from four families, were allowed to return home.
