BN Youth is committed to engaging in mature politics this election period by campaigning based on facts and not sentiments.
Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said that the youth coalition intended to focus on its policies during its tour around the nation next week.
The tour, themed “For Stability and Prosperity”, will be held in all states, starting next Tuesday.
“It will involve all (party) component leaders sharing the stage to discuss BN’s policies for the prosperity of the rakyat.
“We have a track record of ensuring that stability is achieved and that prosperity is maintained,” Asyraf (above) said during a press conference at Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
However, he said that the tour locations have not been decided yet.
Meanwhile, Asyraf said that BN Youth will deploy its election machinery to its 13,205 branches across Peninsular Malaysia.
He added that the election machinery of Umno Youth, MIC Youth, and MCA Youth will be deployed to the grassroots to help the public in the event of floods.
“As we know, our country is always being warned of rain, which may cause flash floods.
“We have agreed to ensure that our election machinery is not only focused on campaigning, but on helping the rakyat,” he said.
Asyraf said BN Youth members have not been informed of who will be fielded as candidates in GE15.
Earlier today, the Election Commission announced that GE15 will take place on Nov 19.
Nomination day was set for Nov 5, with a 14-day campaign period. Early voting will take place on Nov 15.
Elections for the Perlis, Perak, and Pahang legislative assemblies and the Bugaya by-election will follow the above dates. - Mkini
