COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,241 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 22,167, down 7.2 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Kuala Lumpur (184)
Sabah (101)
Perak (82)
Negeri Sembilan (80)
Penang (63)
Sarawak (39)
Johor (37)
Kedah (30)
Malacca (25)
Pahang (21)
Kelantan (14)
Putrajaya (12)
Terengganu (10)
Over the past week, an average of 3.3 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 4.2, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,403 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There were 29 deaths attributed to Covid-19 this month. For comparison, there were 158 deaths last month and 247 deaths in August.
There are 929 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 38 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (69), followed by Sabah (65) and Johor (39). - Mkini
