KUALA LUMPUR: The prospects of Pakatan Harapan (PH) collaborating with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the 15th General Election (GE15) are not on the horizon.
DAP national election leader Liew Chin Tong said they have not thought of it when asked if PH saw a likely scenario of them working with the former premier, who is also Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) chairman.
"I do not think we are considering it because of (certain) challenges. We cannot officially work with each other because of bad blood, we acknowledge that.
"But I do not think we need to attack each other. There is no point in that," said Liew last night on Astro Awani's 'Consider This' talkshow hosted by Melisa Idris.
Liew, however, did not want to delve further into the conversation.
PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had last night said PH has not decided if it will work with Dr Mahathir, who expressed intention to form an alliance with the former.
Anwar said he was aware of Dr Mahathir's willingness to work with him but PH will continue to monitor the situation from time to time.
However, Dr Mahathir had reservations about forming a pact with Anwar saying that the latter might not be interested. - NST
