Incumbent DAP MP lodges police report over latest allegations on Jho Low

Incumbent Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has lodged a police report seeking the authorities to act on allegations that fugitive businessperson Low Taek Jho (Jho Low) has set up a new business and remains untouchable.

The DAP lawmaker lodged the report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters this morning, based on news reports he read on the matter yesterday

"I urge the police, MACC, Bank Negara Malaysia and other government agencies to investigate if Low had stolen US$333 million (RM1.5 billion) from 1MDB and if he is operating from the Shanghai World Financial Centre in China," said Lim (above).

Yesterday, authors Bradley Hope and Tom Wright claimed in a new YouTube video that Low may have incorporated a new company in the British Virgin Islands.

They said document trails showed that JinWeiJing Business Consulting, an entity known to be Low’s family's holding company, had changed its name to GuiYue Business Consulting and its ownership recently transferred to a BVI entity called Grace Zenith Limited.

GuiYue has a business address at the Shanghai World Financial Centre - a glitzy skyscraper that is half a kilometre in height and is known as an iconic business centre in China.

Hope and Wright, who both authored the book titled “Billion Dollar Whale” book on Low, have been actively and openly pursuing the businessperson, attempting to locate his whereabouts under an initiative called “Project Brazen”.

They further claimed that the US$333 million (RM1.5 billion) Grace Zenith paid to take over GuiYue may have originated from 1MDB. - Mkini
