Parts of Ayer Keroh in Malacca have been hit by flash floods.
In a Facebook post today, Ayer Keroh state assemblyperson Kerk Chee Yee said that several locations within his constituency had been hit by flash floods.
This followed the heavy rain that started at around 6pm, he added.
“Our team is patrolling hotspot areas.
“All parties are requested to be vigilant and contact the relevant parties in the event of an incident such as fallen trees or damage to properties,” Kerk said.
Yesterday, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued warnings of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds that were expected to occur in ten states.
The states included Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Sarawak, and Sabah, among others.
On Oct 19, MetMalaysia sent out a severe storm warning on Typhoon Nesat which may continue to bring about strong winds and rough seas over the waters off South China Sea. - Mkini
