As the beat of the war drum gets louder ahead of the 15th general election (GE15), BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi urged Malaysians to vote for his coalition for the country's future.
While BN has had a great track record of running the country for decades, the other political coalitions are still "directionless", he claimed.
"First, there was Pakatan Rakyat, which splintered to become Pakatan Harapan (Harapan).
"Internal power struggle then caused the formation of Perikatan Nasional," the Umno president said on Facebook.
Others who splintered away in the “chaos” went on to form Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA), he added.
According to Zahid, although some may view BN as being imperfect, the coalition has never stopped working on becoming relevant and progressive.
"In fact, history shows that after May 9, 2018 (14th general election), BN is still the best choice to administer the country."
According to him, coalitions that oppose BN still do not have a specific direction to lead the rakyat and country.
'We can do it again'
"The only things they have in common are political expediency, cronyism, as well as the thirst for power and position.
"(Their struggles are) based on slander, lies, manipulation and false promises."
According to the incumbent Bagan Datuk MP, BN had worked hard to return the country to stability and prosperity after its loss in the 14th general election despite facing many hurdles and challenges.
"However, with the blessings and confidence of the people, we made it work," he said, citing BN's double victory in the Malacca and Johor state elections.
"If we can do it in Malacca and Johor, God willing, we can do it again in GE15.
"Vote for BN with confidence, and stability and prosperity await Malaysia."
Malaysia will go to the polls on Nov 19 (Saturday), with the nomination taking place on Nov 5. - Mkini
