The Malaysian will face world No 1 Hania El Hammamy in Doha.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s top women’s squash player S Sivasangari has reached her first semi-final at a Platinum-level PSA Squash Tour event after Tinne Gilis withdrew from their Qatar Classic 2026 quarter-final in Doha today.
According to the PSA Squash Tour, Belgium’s Gilis pulled out of the match because of injury.
Sivasangari, ranked No 5 in the world, will next face Egypt’s world No 1 Hania El Hammamy.
El Hammamy also advanced via a walkover after compatriot Nouran Gohar withdrew from their quarter-final match because of injury.
Sivasangari has won just two of her 11 previous meetings against El Hammamy.
Those victories came in 2017 and 2024. - FMT
