The party president says he will reject proposals from divisions without active membership and strong machinery.

Anwar said the party leadership would reject proposals from weak divisions, even if they come with recommendations.
“Membership must increase, programmes must improve. I want to make it clear – we will only consider areas where machinery, membership, and activities have increased.
“Otherwise, even if the (election) committee proposes it, I will reject it,” he said at the Terengganu PKR convention today.
Anwar, who is also the prime minister, said prioritising strong divisions is “better than exhausting ourselves helping branches that have no members, are weak, have many problems, and produce no results”.
“My message is clear, right? There is a method to winning. Losing is even easier,” he said.
However, Anwar expressed confidence that PKR was improving its momentum in Terengganu.
PKR secured 31 seats in the 15th general election in 2022, down from 47 in 2018.
It lost in several key constituencies amid the “green wave” that benefitted Perikatan Nasional, particularly in Malay heartland states. - FMT
