PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said there was no need to entertain Ampang PKR Youth chief Adam Rosly.
This was after Adam attacked her fellow PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli over the source of his funding for his NGOs, namely Invoke and the National Oversight and Whistleblowers Centre.
“Adam Rosly is now on leave. There is no need to us to entertain any (of his) statements as the focus is for our leaders to fight BN,” she told journalists at a function in Kajang today.
Adam, was on April 21 charged with providing false information about the source of his wealth to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
He had lashed out at Rafizi after the latter advised PKR to distance itself from Adam in light of his case.
Yesterday, Rafizi responded to Adam by disclosing the income and expenditure of his NGOs as well as financial details filed with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
Nurul Izzah, when asked by the press today, also vouched for Rafizi.
“Rafizi is known for his commitment in exposing BN’s corruption.
“We know he is became a victim for his whistleblowing work which is important in for the building and strengthening of democracy in our country,” she said.
Rafizi is facing 18 months in prison for disclosing parts of the auditor-general’s report on 1MDB which is protected under the Official Secrets Act 1972. He is presently appealing his conviction.- Mkini
