A portion of a building at the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's clinical block in Bandar Tun Razak is believed to have caught fire this morning.
It is learnt that the incident happened on the third floor of the block.
A spokesman from the Bandar Tun Razak's Fire and Rescue Services Department confirmed that a fire engine with a crew of seven fire-fighters and a supervisor had left to the vicinity.
However, there has been no development.
When contacted, a HUKM spokesperson said it is investigating the matter and would issue a statement soon.
Last year, six people died at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital fire in Johor Bahru.
