Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has taken stern action against members who had sabotaged the party’s efforts in the recent 14th General Election.
Its president Dr Mahathir Mohamad said some members have been suspended or expelled from the party as they had sabotaged the PPBM’s election efforts. These actions included helping other parties.
"Some of them had held a press conference which worsened the situation within the party," he said during a press conference at the party’s headquarters.
However, Mahathir declined to reveal the names and the number of members who had been punished for their disloyalty to the party.
He also announced that the party's supreme council has decided to use "Bersatu" as both the party name as well as slogan.
"We have agreed that PPBM will use the word 'Bersatu' as its party name as well as slogan," said Mahathir. - Mkini
