Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former premier Najib Abdul Razak has sought to strike out the suit by a Lebanese jeweller against her, on the grounds that the 44 pieces of jewellery claimed are not with her.
This, her team of lawyers led by Geetham Ram Vincent, said, is because the items are with the police who had seized them.
Meanwhile, lawyer David Gurupatham who is acting for the jeweller, Global Royalty SAL, said they have just received the application from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) to intervene in the suit.
"We will not object to the intervener application.
"The Deputy Registrar has fixed Oct 11 to hear the striking out application and also the application by the AGC to intervene," he said.
Senior federal counsel Alice Loke appeared for the AGC, at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
It was reported that Global Royalty had sued Rosmah on June 26.
