An Umno leader has revealed the alleged official letter on the freezing of three CIMB bank accounts under the name of former premier Najib Abdul Razak's daughter Nooryana Najwa.
In an Instagram posting, Lokman Noor Adam said this included Nooryana's son's Junior Saver account which is under the 10-month-old toddler's mother's name.
"MACC wants to deny?
“It is true that the account is under the mother's name because Adam is still a baby, but (don't they) understand the meaning of 'Junior Saver', 7069275734 CIMB. Does any mother use a junior account?" read the Umno supreme council member's posting.
Lokman was responding to MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Azam Baki who denied the account was frozen.
"Najib's grandchild's account was never frozen," was Azam's brief response to Sinar Harian after Nooryana raised the issue in a Facebook posting and accused the current government of being vindictive.
According to the letter shared by Lokman, the three accounts under Nooryana's name were frozen under subsection 44(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

Police report to be lodged against Dr M, MACC chief
Meanwhile, in a separate posting on Instagram, Lokman said he would a file a police report against Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and MACC chief commissioner Mohd Shukri Abdull on the matter, with the Dang Wangi district police headquarters tonight.
The Umno leader pointed out that Najib was not charged with regard to the RM2.6 billion in his personal account.
“For three years, between 2015 and 2018, Mahathir had slandered the former premier during ceramah, interviews and his blog postings that Najib stole RM2.6 billion from 1MDB.
“Millions of Malaysians believed this slander and decided to vote for Pakatan Harapan in the last general election,” he added.
Lokman said he was shocked when Najib was not charged in relation to this accusation but was instead slapped with four charges related to the SRC International issue.
Najib has maintained that the RM2.6 billion was a donation from a Saudi royal member while the US Department of Justice (DOJ) alleged that the sum originated from 1MDB.
In the Instagram posting, Lokman also revealed there would be a gathering outside the Sogo shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur at 9pm before the police report is lodged. - Mkini
