Umno-linked NGO to march with hands bound, mouths taped shut

NGO Pemantau Malaysia Baru will hold a demonstration on July 16 against the "DAP administration" which allegedly exploits Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the government.
Its president Lokman Noor Adam said the rally will be held at a parking lot near Bukit Aman about 8am next Monday, in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's arrival at the Dewan Rakyat for the swearing-in ceremony of members of Parliament.
Participants of the rally then will march towards Parliament with their hands bound and mouths taped shut, as a symbolic gesture of the king's loss of rights, he said.
"All Malaysians are invited to join, with ropes and tapes. We will not shout and scream this time.
"As a symbol of the loss of Agong's rights to voice out and carry out his responsibility of defending Islam and the interests of the Malays, we will march with our mouths shut, and hands bound," he said in a statement.
Lokman, who is also Umno supreme council member, further alleged that DAP's "Christianisation agenda" was starting to bear fruit, with the appointments of Lim Guan Eng as the finance minister, Gobind Singh Deo as the communications and multimedia minister, and the early resignation of former chief justice Md Raus Shariff to pay way for "another Christian" - Justice Richard Malanjum to take over the position.
Justice Malanjum was the judge who had presided over the Lina Joy proselytisation case in 2007, and one of the three judges who voted to allow the use of the term Allah in the Catholic Church's weekly newsletter, The Herald, he said.
"If the Muslims are still 'blind' and do not see the destruction of Islam, the interests of the Malays, the nation and the position of Malay rulers, I cannot say anything much else.
"Until when we want to just disagree with falsehoods?" he asked. - Mkini
