KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will form a special committee in all districts to check the claim of a drastic increase in the number of voters in the state.
Chief minister Hajiji Noor, who is also GRS chairman, said these committees, made up of party members, would identify the registered voters.
“The party machinery knows who the voters are in their areas, whether they are residents or not.
“A report will then be compiled,” he told reporters after launching the Sayang brand cooking oil manufactured by Sawit Kinabalu Sdn Bhd here.
It was earlier reported that there was a drastic increase in the number of voters in Sabah – from 1,064,686 in 2018 to 1,638,806 for the upcoming 15th general election (GE15). - FMT
