Police say drugs, vehicles and other items worth an estimated RM303,400 were seized in two raids yesterday.
PETALING JAYA: Police arrested a woman and two men and seized two smoke grenades during raids on a suspected drug trafficking syndicate in Penang yesterday.
A man and a woman, both aged 47, were arrested in a house in Taman Gemilang Indah, Bukit Mertajam and a 46-year-old man was detained in a follow-up raid.
“Police found two smoke grenades kept in a steel box in a kitchen cabinet,” Seberang Perai Tengah police chief Nik Aminuddin Raja Abdullah said. Drugs believed to be heroin, methamphetamine and cannabis were also seized as well as equipment for drug packaging and distribution.
He said police also seized three cars, five motorcycles, three gold rings and RM5,700 in cash, with the total value of the seizure estimated at RM303,400. - FMT
