The BN chairman says his coalition has also instructed supporters to vote for PAS and PN candidates in the Negeri Sembilan election.

Zahid, who is also Umno president, said BN had likewise instructed its supporters to vote for PAS and Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates in other seats.
“We are working in tandem to help the contesting candidates,” he told a press conference after attending the Negeri Sembilan community leaders’ engagement session at the Gemencheh Mara Junior Science College.
Last night, Hadi said he had instructed PAS members to support BN candidates to ensure the BN-PN pact succeeds.
In this Saturday’s Negeri Sembilan election, BN is contesting 25 seats while PN is contesting 11 following an electoral understanding between the two coalitions to avoid overlapping seats.
On the choice of the menteri besar candidate, Zahid said the matter would be discussed if BN and PN win the election, adding that no formal agreement or commitment had been made so far.
“When the time comes, we will discuss and reach an ideal decision.”
He was commenting on a statement by Parti Wawasan Negara president Hamzah Zainudin, who said that PN would leave it to BN to nominate the menteri besar candidate. - FMT
