Party secretary-general Loretto Padua Jr says fake posters about the purported rally have been distributed by 'irresponsible parties' to mislead the public.

Warisan secretary-general Loretto Padua Jr said the party lodged a police report in Kota Kinabalu yesterday evening over the distribution of posters said to contain false information about the rally.
He said the posters were circulated on social media by irresponsible parties to mislead the public.
“The poster tarnishes the image of Warisan leaders and the party as a whole. The public, especially those outside Kota Kinabalu, are advised not to come just to attend a non-existent gathering,” he was quoted by the Borneo Post as saying today.
This comes after the Papar sessions court on Wednesday sentenced Shafie to five weeks in prison for contempt of court over remarks in relation to the inquest into Zara Qairina Mahathir’s death.
Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan granted the Semporna MP a stay of execution of the sentence pending an appeal to the High Court against the conviction.
Loretto declined to comment on Shafie’s appeal, only saying that Warisan respects the legal process. - FMT
