The Shah Alam High Court will also hear the prosecution’s cross-appeal on the same day.

The court will also hear, on the same day, the prosecution’s cross-appeal on the sentence imposed on Ismanira, 31.
Bernama reported that Justice Noor Hisham Ismail set the date after deputy public prosecutor Raja Zaizul Faridah Raja Zaharudin said the prosecution needed more time to file further submissions in response to the defence’s additional arguments.
Counsel Haresh Mahadevan, representing Ismanira, raised no objection.
Ismanira had filed a notice of appeal through Messrs Haresh Mahadevan & Co against her conviction and the entire decision delivered by Petaling Jaya sessions court judge Syahliza Warnoh on Oct 31, 2025.
Syahliza ruled that the defence failed to raise a reasonable doubt and ordered Ismanira to begin serving her prison sentence immediately. The court also ordered her to sign a two-year good behaviour bond with one surety and fixed bail at RM3,000 pending her appeal.
Ismanira was also ordered to perform 120 hours of community service to be completed within six months after completing her prison term. - FMT
