PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian meteorological department (MetMalaysia) has warned of bad weather in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia from today until Saturday (Nov 23).
It forecast heavy and continuous rain throughout Terengganu and parts of Pahang – Jerantut, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin – for five consecutive days.
In a statement, MetMalaysia also forecast continuous rain in Kelantan and Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran and Bera, in Pahang, also until this Saturday.
Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang are known to experience severe floods, particularly around this time of the year.
The department also warned of continuous rain throughout Johor and Melaka, as well as Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin in Negeri Sembilan, from today until tomorrow. - FMT
