PETALING JAYA: The location of the Madani government’s second anniversary celebration has been changed to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil said this was decided at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today, Bernama reported.
The event, scheduled from Nov 22-24, was earlier planned to be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), Kuala Lumpur.
Fahmi said chief secretary to the government Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar announced this change in venue at the Cabinet meeting, citing location and space factors.
Fahmi said the celebration is expected to be attended by the entire national administration machinery, including the prime minister and Cabinet ministers as well as the heads of departments and agencies.
“Details of the programmes to be held in conjunction with this celebration will be announced soon,” he said. - FMT
