KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has denied appointing or authorising any party to collect donations, gifts, sponsorships or contributions for any of its programmes.
DBKL said in a statement that the public should be wary of any solicitation made using the name of the local authority for such purposes, including those involving lucky draws, official functions, or community programmes.
"All official matters relating to DBKL will only be conducted through the department's official channels and documents.
"The public is encouraged to verify or confirm with DBKL should they receive any suspicious requests," the statement said.
DBKL said the cooperation of all parties in ensuring transparency and preventing fraud was greatly appreciated. - NST
