The new prices will be in effect until June 30.

In a statement today, the finance ministry said RON95 sold under the BUDI95 scheme will continue to be sold at RM1.99 per litre, and diesel at the subsidised price of RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia.
Subsidised petrol under the subsidised petrol control system (SKPS) will remain at RM2.05 per litre, while subsidised diesel under the subsidised diesel control system (SKDS) will retail at RM2.15 per litre.
These prices are effective until June 30.
The finance ministry said the reduction in prices reflected encouraging global oil market developments, following positive developments in the Middle East conflict.
It nevertheless advised the public to continue to use fuel prudently, planning their journey efficiently and cutting unnecessary travel to help conserve national fuel reserves and reduce pressure on subsidy expenditures.
The ministry also said the government will implement the BUDI Diesel scheme from July 1, under which private owners of diesel vehicles can purchase subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre. - FMT
