Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi has schooled Johor Umno Youth chief Noor Azleen Ambros on the meaning of loyalty, after the latter urged him to remain loyal to the party.
“My loyalty is to the party’s cause, not an individual. But when the leader becomes a puppet, I have the right to speak up to save the party. To follow blindly is to condemn the party.
“You youngling set a bad example for other youths on the meaning of loyalty,” he said in a Facebook post.
Puad also highlighted his contributions to Umno, including periods where he did not hold office or receive funding from the party.
Johor PKR chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa said Pakatan Harapan is targeting outstation voters in the state election, particularly those from rural pockets of Johor’s northern region.

Johor PKR chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa Bernama quoted her saying that economic imbalances have historically driven local talent away from their hometowns, and these outstation voters need to choose the right government that could develop their hometowns.
“We have to just bring them back and make them realise that they also have to play their roles in choosing what is the best government for Johor and working together with the federal government,” said the former minister. - Mkini
