PETALING JAYA: Amanah president Mohamad Sabu today maintained his party’s full support for Dr Mahathir Mohamad as leader of the country as well as Pakatan Harapan (PH).
“May Allah give Tun (Mahathir) the strength to face the current political crisis.
“We remain firmly behind Pakatan Harapan and Tun for a better Malaysia,” he said in a statement.
Mahathir had earlier announced his resignation as prime minister as well as PPBM chairman.
PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin also announced that the party was quitting PH.
This followed intense speculation that a new coalition comprising MPs from both sides of the divide would form a new federal government. -FMT
