Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, did not turn up for the first day of her corruption trial at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.
She is alleged to have solicited and received bribes involving hundreds of millions of ringgit in relation to the supply and installation of solar energy at 369 rural schools in Sarawak.
“The accused is unwell, we have furnished to your lordship a copy of a medical report dated Feb 2,” said Rosmah’s counsel Jagjit Singh in the Kuala Lumpur High Court before judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan today.
