KUALA LUMPUR: Police have submitted an investigation paper to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) regarding four policemen accused of stealing jewellery from a woman who died in her car on Oct 1.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa said the investigation paper was previously submitted to the Bukit Aman criminal investigation department before being referred to the AGC today.
“All the policemen involved, who were remanded for three days until Saturday, have been released on police bail,” he said at Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong here today.
Rusdi said police had proposed that charges be brought against the four, who are currently still on duty and awaiting further action.
The four policemen were arrested last Friday after jewellery belonging to a woman, found dead in a car in the parking area of a Setapak condominium here, was reported missing.
The case is classified under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft. - FMT
