KAJANG: A parked lorry rolled on its own and crashed into five vehicles near Persiaran Damai Perdana here yesterday, damaging all the vehicles involved.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report on the incident at about 12.45pm.

"The lorry, which was parked on the road shoulder, moved after being left unattended by the driver," he said, adding that the driver had gone to a nearby location for a meal.

He said the lorry struck five vehicles on both sides of the road, but no injuries were reported.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries a fine of between RM5,000 and RM10,000, or up to one year's imprisonment.
