SOMETIMES pet owners can do the darndest things. At times, we hear about them abandoning their pet dog or cat in the car due to their inability to supervise them. Either that or it is simply forgetfulness.
And in the summer where the interior of the car can turn into an oven, this is no laughing matter. But instead of pets, what happens if it was a human child?
A very irresponsible mother found out the hard way when she abandoned her child inside the car for nine hours as stated in a horrific post on X by @mynewshub. Sadly, the two year old child died and frankly, we are unsurprised.
According to the post, the incident happened in Seremban. Police officers were alerted by an emergency phone call at 6.15pm. Apparently, a boy was found unconscious in a white Proton Saga.

Netizen @papajanggut69 who followed the post said in the comment section that parents who want to leave their kids in the car need to drop the window so there is the flow of air into the vehicle.
Then there was @AreefFarhan condemning the mother as a killer. “Negligence or intentional,” wondered @mmm61288981. His succinct reply plants a chilling thought into our minds.

Raising a child is tough, especially in this time of economic hardship. Perhaps the mother decided to take the easy way out instead?
Towards this statement, netizen @rickylaw said to make single income households great again. If the mother is not burdened by financial difficulties, perhaps she could have done a better job raising her child.

The voice of compassion come in the form of @afifahhhj who said, among other things, that people shouldn’t say bad things about her when they do not know her hardship.

According to media portal the Malay Mail, Seremban district police chief ACP Azahar Abdul Rahim said the victim’s mother explained that she forgot to send her child to the daycare and only realised what had happened around 5 pm when she finished work.
Azahar added that the boy was pronounced dead by a medical team at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital before being sent to Rembau Hospital for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, he said, adding that the mother was arrested to facilitate investigations. — Focus Malaysia
